I had no idea that some translations of the Bible changed Genesis 3:15.
In my RSV 2nd Catholic Edition, it says:
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your heel and you shall bruise his heel.
But the last two references to “he” should be “she” instead, which is what I always thought it was. From the Douay-Rheims:
I will put enmities between you and the woman, and your seed and her seed: she shall crush your head, and you shall lie in wait for her heel.
No wonder Protestants have such problems with understanding Our Lady’s role!
